The BAR-TEK tie rod kit is the perfect reinforcement for your 02M and 02Q transmission.
Our strong steel tie rod plates prevent the transmission cases from pulling apart. At high torques, the 02M and 02Q transmission tends to push the case halves apart, causing cracking and chipping of the transmission case.
What makes our system different from others? Other systems only have a plate bolted to the outer housing, and therefore do not have a continuous connection. Our tie rod kit is bolted to the clutch side housing as well as the outer housing, thus connecting both housing halves through solid stud bolt. This ensures that the gear halves are securely bolted together even at high torques!

On some transmissions it may be necessary to mount the intermediate plate 02M301159F to get more clearance between clutch and gearbox or the tie rods. But this depends on the clutch or flywheel manufacturer. Experience shows that we often use Sachs single mass flywheels. With our Tilton or RCS systems there are no problems.
