The VAG standard valves have the major disadvantage that they can break on engines with significant power increase or long mileage. The standard valves are hollow inside and sodium cooled. With the very thin valve stem of only 6mm there is not much material left to protect the valve!

Inconel is a very strong metal alloy and is used in racing engines and other applications. Supertech valves are made from an extremely heat resistant alloy. Supertech valves are suitable for turbocharged and nitrous injection engines where high exhaust gas temperatures are used.
The kit includes 8 valves for the original valve wedges. +1mm requires 1-wedge Supertech wedges.
