Description

2.0L TFSI RACE timing belt kit BAR-TEK®.
The timing belt should always be checked for good tension! If this belt breaks, there is a major engine damage!

The timing belt kit consists of:

  • Timing belt GATES or Conti
  • Timing belt tensioner mechanically
  • 2x timing belt pulley
  • Race water pump with metal wheel

Race tested @ 24H race!
Thanks to the mechanical tension pulley, your toothed belt always has a constant pretension.
Please check the tension regularly and adjust the tensioner pulley if necessary.
(Our mechanical tension pulley has a slightly larger hole for the stud bolt, but this is harmless after tightening the nut.)

We also recommend replacing the pulley on the crankshaft or installing our TFSI & TSI HIGH TORQUE pulley kit directly.
Unfortunately, there is always capital engine damage caused by worn out pulleys.
